COMPOSITION
1 ml of the drug contains:

Active Ingredients g/kg
Flunixin (as Flunixin Meglumine) 50
Excipients Solvents q.s 1 ml


TARGET SPECIES
Buffalo, Cow and Horse.

INDICATIONS
• FLUNIXIN INJ 5% inj is indicated for use in Cattle and Horses in the alleviation of inflammation and pain.
• In the Horse, FLUNIXIN INJ 5% is indicated for the alleviation of inflammatory signs associated with musculoskeletal disorders and for the alleviation of visceral pain associated with colic.
• In Cattle, FLUNIXIN INJ 5% is indicated for the control of acute inflammation associated with respiratory disease. FLUNIXIN INJ 5% has also been shown to have some benefit in the treatment of acute pulmonary emphysema (Fog Fever) and as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of Acute Mastitis.
• In Buffalos and Cows, FLUNIXIN INJ 5% is indicated for the treatment of Pneumonia, Pleurisy, Mastitis, Metritis, Arthritis, and toenail infections.
• Used in all cases when corticosteroids are contraindicated.

MODE OF ADMINISTRATION
Flunixin 5% inj is indicated for Intravenous administration to Cattle and Horses.
Horses
- For use in Equine Colic, the recommended dose rate is 1 ml per 30-45 kg body weight. Treatment may be repeated once or twice if colic recurs.

(During clinical trials, approximately 10% of the horses required one or two additional treatments. The cause of colic should be determined and treated with concurrent therapy.)
- For use in Musculoskeletal Disorders, the recommended dose rate is 1 ml per 45 kg body weight, once daily for up to 5 days according to clinical response
- For use in Endotoxemia or Septic Shock associated with Gastric Torsion and with other conditions in which the circulation of blood to the gastrointestinal tract is compromised, 1 ml per 200 kg body weight every 6-8 hours.
Cow
For use in acute inflammatory conditions, the recommended dose rate is 2 ml per 45 kg body weight. Repeat as necessary at 24-hour intervals for up to 5 consecutive days.
Buffalo
1 ml per 15-25 kg body weight. Repeat injection after 24 hours for 3 consecutive days.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
• Meat: Animals must not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment.
• Milk: for human consumption must not be taken during treatment.
• Cow: (Meat and Offal): 5 days.
• Cow: (Milk): 24 hours.
• Horse: (Offal): 7 days.
• Horse: (Meat): 4 weeks.
